Give it time. The platform continues to evolve and this standardization of all content means that once all blogs are brought up to this version of the Kinja platform, the next round of fine tuning can commence in ernest.

I don't know that it will happen, but I can imagine that the top stories, and the maximum picture size could eventually be modified to different usage/size criteria. The one constant of Gawker Media's approach to their platform is that there is no constant.
